Thanks for the comment, Luis. It's hard to remember all of that, of
course, especially when you're in the thick of it. But I think one of
the reasons people in Hollywood -- and maybe in other places, too --
have such a hard time knowing what true happiness really means is that
they've never been to the beach with a dog and a tennis ball.

This is one of my favourite Martini Shots. It's funny and it's sad. Then it becomes funny again and then it's sad...again. We expect funny and laugh. We don't expect sad, and we're riveted. I love this piece because it's about more than the biz, and the money, and who's getting what project. It's a nudge about what's really important around us. That thing that happens to us when we're not working. I like to say that I don't want my epitaph to read like a resume. Thank you Rob for sharing this wonderful piece. I don't have a dog but I get it.

My beloved Cat just died last week. She would've been 16 this fall. Broken hearted and eternally grateful.
